Our cutting ring fittings respectively compression joints can be used for centralised grease lubrication systems and low-viscosity grease addition systems. They are generally used for lubrication system construction and industrial machinery, commercial vehicles and wheel flanges. We are specialist in manufacturing particularly small LL-series compression joints.
In order to deliver and convey oil and grease in pipes, piping systems, plastic tubes and hose lines such as, for instance, our plastic tube PA12HL or our high-pressure hose 840 bars, cutting-ring fittings are required to combine and connect these various pipes and hoses one to another so that excellent tightness and pressure resistance thereof can be achieved. Innovative developments are used to this end, generally known as cutting-ring fittings. A cutting-ring fitting made of premium stainless steel (material grade 1.4301 and/or 1.4571) is in turn a suitable component for use in foodstuff and beverage industries as well as in the area of harbours and other wetland areas. In order to maintain adequate specification, quality, and rationalisation when mounting and using the cutting-ring fittings, the production thereof is subject to quality certification pursuant to EN ISO 8434 as well as DIN-standard 2353. For ensuring the widespread use of cutting-ring fittings in lubrication technology, on centralised lubrication systems, hydraulic and pneumatic installations, three typical fitting variants are first available from standardised industrial manufacture. These various styles are classified according to their loadability with regard to pressure conditions.
In this context, the following rule must be applied to these specifications of operating pressure: the burst pressure (i.e. crack pressure) of cutting-ring fittings is far higher - as a function of style and pipe diameter, this pressure is three to four times higher than the operating pressure.
Further to the very light LL style with an operating pressure of up to a maximum of 100 bars, there is also the L style of up to 100 and/or 250 bar a the heavy S style for cutting-ring fittings of a pressure resistance of up to 250 and/or 600 bars.
Thanks to the high pressure resistance and still very small configuration of LL style, these cutting-ring fittings took hold in the field of centralised lubrication technology.
The configurations of cutting-ring fittings are distinguished by the huge number of possible connections. Further to the standard cutting-ring fittings configured as straight and 90° elbow male fittings, other models can also be installed. Further fittings available in the product category cutting-ring fittings are such configurations designated as bulkhead fittings, sealing-cone fittings, reducing fittings, and banjo fittings. In addition, thereto, check valves are also widespreadly used. A plug-in sleeve is an additional element for use of cutting-ring fittings. This is the technical precondition for the use of cutting-ring fitting on some definite tubes or pipes made of plastic material. In this context, however, the cross section of pipes and tubes becomes smaller as the reinforcing socket (plug-in sleeve) requires additional space.
Connection of cutting-ring fittings to plastic tubes, metallic pipes and hose lines is most frequently used.
Cutting-ring fittings feature an optimal solution for the connection of various pipes and hoses. The connection is held tight by positioning and tightening of union nut and the consequently pressed cutting ring.
